I mean it’s partly because the last coke ovens, in Scunthorpe and then in Port Talbot, closed under the previous Tory government. You don’t put coal in a blast furnace, you put coke. Scunthorpe used to get its coal from Orgreave mine, until Thatcher shut it in the 80s
