This is a policy with no basis in any analysis. It's designed to look tough. It actually makes them look thoughtless and out of touch. Its arbitrary, mean, and simply designed to disguise the fact that the government is failing young people. Is this being back on track?

This government is working overtime to paint teachers, doctors, and nurses as the bad guys - after handing the money to landlords and the tobacco industry.

So the Government hasn’t missed a chance at blaming Unions for the push back by schools to reaffirm commitment to the Tiriti. Big problem is it’s proved a big misfire. Unions have had nothing to do with it. The Government lying again.

Mountain_Tui Senior doctor just told my better half that the hiring freeze is real and personnel are stretched to breaking point. At the same time the government is directing money to private hospitals, who are offering high salaries to lure people from the public system. This is deliberate.
