I'd be interested in the professor's thoughts on this article on the declaration and why it was delayed until July 4 nationalgeographic.com/history/refere…

What is the exact point of Olympic affiliation if the rules of the game have to be significantly changed and the people who invented the game are to be excluded from participating? Sounds like a complete waste of time.

All of the "Olympics" people knew this was coming but they sold out to the monied interests at the IOC anyway - this is why its a total waste of time to pursue further with these amateur sports elitists and technocrats who could not give a crap about the sport or its Creators

Yes, also Hong Kong, Taiwan and Puerto Rico (some considered "territories" but I don't think there is an example of an exception for just one sport - In addition, the Iroquois status extends to BOTH USA and Canada and don't think there is an example of that exception either -

Amen to THAT!!!! If the folks in the Olympic situation won't walk over this then that's all you need to know about them and their motivations. If they put all that on the line for the Iroquois who gave the rest of us the game then they are true to the spirit of the sport. 👍

Native Americans were also barred from Olympic competition in the early 20th Century when lacrosse was an Olympic sport. They were later also outlawed as "ringers" for amateur competition which resulted in them inventing box lacrosse so they could play THEIR game.

The Acompora Family must be immensely gratified and thankful as they have led the effort to equip all teams with portable AEDs expressly for this purpose.
