Everyone should know that Rebecca Stanley's talk at the NextGEN conference for the Society of Genealogists was really excellent. It was about the intersection of Alzheimers & Family History stories through her own experience. If you want a good speaker for your society, invite her.

Hi #AncestryHour. Sorry I’m late. In the past 2 weeks, I’ve: ✅ Finished the report & proved my maternal grandparents wedding & the link between my maternal grandparents ✅ Updated a Family Group Sheet ✅ Updated the pedigree ✅ Searched for them in the 1920 & 1930 Censuses

NYC #genealogy question: According to Mom - who likely heard this from her maternal grandmother - my great-grandma had a stillbirth between 2 kids (so between 1917-1921/22). Could I find a stillbirth in the death records of Historical NYC Records online? #AncestryHour

Transcription question: I know that you’re supposed to transcribe exactly how is in the document (word & line). Are you supposed to also try line up every single letter too?! B/c for yrs I thought that’s what you’re supposed to do but maybe not? #AncestryHour #genealogy

Hi #AncestryHour! I haven't done as much research in the last week. 2 weekends ago, I found my GF & GM in the 1920 & 1930 censuses. I wrote it down. Opened my research log on Excel a few days later, poof, the info was gone. So this past week, I redid a bit of my GF's census work.

American #Genealogy question out of curiosity: Are tax records used in the 20th century to look for residences? I've always thought that they're used for people in the 17th/18th/early 19th centuries. #AncestryHour

Hi #AncestryHour. I've spent the past week on coursework so no researching. However, because I've spent so much time in coursework (which equals the same time in #genealogy research I can still do as a reward), I have over 22 hrs of research coming to me!

#AncestryHour humor: 2 wks ago, I was looking at the 1933 Brooklyn city directory for my great-grandparents (last name SAVODNIK). I found him: Savodnik, Isadore (Rebecca) tailor h [address] I thought, who's Rebecca? And then it hit me. It was my great-grandma, Beckie! 🤦‍♀️
