Spot the visitor who came close today... and it rained for the first time in a long time! We get lots of Roe and Muntjac deer but they don't often come this close to the houses. It's always good to see them.

I had a bit of time in the 23 eme shack this morning and decided to try #cloudlogaurora. It's a bit of software linking wsjtx into cloudlog so contacts are logged automatically. 5 mins to download and set up and it works well. Thank you. Peter (MM9SQL)

A very small WW2 Lancaster bomber flying past my dish today over the old RAF Spilsby airfield. This area (Lincolnshire) was known as bomber county in the war due to the number of bases in the area.

Another 23 cm eme station coming soon. A rare country GW3ZHI. Here we are testing sun noise on the 2.4 m dish, it yielded a healthy 9 dB (yesterday) DDK Lna. Today RX testing actual signals and hopefully TX...

GW3ZHI is qrv on 23cm eme. I rode my motorbike home from his qth last night (>5 hours). We did have some Rx problems, isolation relay suspected. This morning I worked him for a new dxcc!! He's a very respectable signal.

I've had this lna kit knocking around for a year or so. The tiny SM components put me off because my hands shake a little and my eyesight isn't perfect anymore. I started in the conservatory today with all its natural light. 50% built before it got too warm...

I was intending to go qrt on 2m for a while. One of the final QSOs was EA8FB on tropo at 3096km on FT8, earlier I had an ssb QSO with CT9ACF at 2644Km. It really is one of the best amateur bands in terms of interest and modes.
