Love Marc Morey. Always balanced with equal parts of fruit, acidity and minerality. And never a trace of pre-maturity or oxidation. Last bottle though...

Found two of these hidden in the cellar. Bought a case at the Monopoly for around 20€ a bottle. Loved every bottle. Still a good drink but it has now peaked and on its way down the long road to vinegar.

Yeh, burg night! Clavoillon 14: New reductive style. But very Puligny. Beze 14: Absolute quality fruit in that Groffier fluffy style. Hedonism. Malconsorts 10: Surprisingly restrained for Cathiard, but fine juice. Lambrays 09: Borderline GC as always. Quite oaky but fine wine.

Yeh, there are other regions. Cuvée NF Billecart was intense and lovley. Still a young wine. Bricco Boschis San Giuseppe is a brilliant wine. Very refined and presice. Also very good.

Gros Frère et Soeur delivers strikingly fruit extract as always. Hedonism level expert! 11 is not quite like 04, but many wines has that troublesome greenness. But Thibault Liger-Belair and Rossignol-Trapet both managed to avoid any of that. Classy acts!

Grands Echezeaux is usually a big step up from Echezeaux. This is certanly the case also at Gros Frère et Sœur. It has more depth, more polish and more elegance. Quality vineyard indeed and usually a price tag to go along with that. #yolo

2 quite different versions of Brulée. 06 is in a perfect spot right now w/deep, dark and ripe fruit. Very good and very Brulée. 92p The 11 is more complicated & displays the weakness of the vintage. It’s light bordering thin & lacks in transparence. But it’s not that green. 89p

One positive thing with the steep increase in Burgundy prices is that every other region seems affordable. L-B: perfect maturity and very pleasing with lovely black currant profile. 36€ (HT) BB: still a young wine with lots of structure left. With air already singing. 50€ (HT)

Who would have guessed that Gros Frère & Sœur would pioneer the sans sulfites policy? Not me! Not sure if I can detect any significant differens at this point. Rumour has it that they instead are experimenting with adding grape pip extract. Will ask in November.
