For lunch Yakir added Hatch Pepper Pecans, almonds and pine nuts to our salad of roasted eggplant slices with Hatch Pepper Pico de Gallo made with tomatoes & 3 forms of Hatch peppers. So good! Melissa's Produce #HatchChileChamps

As soon as I tasted this salad, it became a favorite of mine! It’s based on a recipe in Melissa's Hatch Pepper Cookbook, and is made of of quinoa, couscous and edamame with a flavorful roasted Hatch pepper dressing, tomatoes, mint & other herbs. Melissa's Produce #HatchChileChamps

It was a great day to pick tomatoes in our garden! Our favorite variety, bright-orange Sungold, was prolific. The Red Cherry did well too; so did the medium-size tomatoes – Early Girl, Champion & Better Boy. From our 8 plants that Yakir planted in April , we got plenty!

What a pleasure to have these fruits of summer from our garden! We picked lots of figs and tomatoes, and our pear tree surprised us with the biggest crop ever, by far! Mission Figs do the best for us in our #socal garden, and so do supersweet #Sungoldtomatoes! #Figs #homegrown

Our yummy salad with a surprise - tamarillos! Also known as tree tomatoes, they have a lovely fragrance and a sweet-sour flavor. Some add sugar to make them sweeter but we like their natural flavor. We combined them with jicama, cucumbers, mint & walnuts. Melissa's Produce
