Don’t get it twisted, soft skills is the new superpower. In a world of AI and automation, it’s empathy, communication, and adaptability that set you apart. Technical skills may get you in the room. Soft skills keep you there.

In the age of AI, the real advantage lies in deep thinking. The gap between an average and a great AI result is largely the quality of thought behind the prompt. Slow down. Think sharper. Frame better questions. That’s how you win with AI.

These days, many settle for surface-level answers because they’re faster and feel productive. But real value lies beneath. In the age of AI, those who dig deeper, analyze, and think critically will always stand out. Depth beats speed because everyone now has access to speed.

I wrote a recommendation letter today. Even with AI, it took me almost 2 hours to finetune it into something truly good. It made me realize how much effort my professors once put into writing letters without AI. God bless every professor who does this for their students 🙏
