I've been doing experiments with custom schedulers, specifically running jobs with the Flux operator on #Kubernetes, and learning about not just the importance of the scheduler, but also the job design. vsoch.github.io/2024/nuances-o…. Let's talk about that a bit. 🧵

I'm pleased to announce that our work on the Flux operator is published in F1000Research! This is an example of #ConvergedComputing and was (continues to be) a joy to collaborate with @alculquicondor and Antonio Ojea. doi.org/10.12688/f1000…. Let's do this more often! ❤️

I'm proud to share that my team is sharing early work to get userspace #Kubernetes running with an #HPC workload manager Flux on #AWS! arxiv.org/abs/2406.06995 There is more to do, but I'm immensely proud of this work, and grateful for the people I get to work with.🥰

Let's kick off #SC24 with the first set (of many to come) of the Flux Tutorials - Dinosaur Edition! 🥑We didn't get an "official" tutorial, but guess what? This presented an opportunity - one to create a series of tutorials open to *everyone* across time and space. 🚀

Developers developers...! Do you want to contribute to Flux but don't know where to start? We got you! 😉 For this first tutorial learn how to bring up #vscode to build and run tests for flux-core and flux-sched "fluxion" youtu.be/8aQiMpAF_NQ using autotools & cmake.

Good morning, and happy Monday folks! We have our first Flux dinosaur series notebook tutorial released this morning: youtu.be/5qT4eyO0thw We go through part 1 of the #HPCIC tutorial, basic commands for Flux, all in a #Jupyter notebook you can deploy too! 🥳

If you missed the Flux tutorial at #ISC25 have no fear! 🥳Let's learn about Flux Environments youtu.be/erphMqHv1OE?si… From containers to cloud VMs to #Kubernetes to #HPC Flux is a portability layer that meets the needs of emerging workflows. Let's dive in!

For the first time - user-space Kubernetes running under Flux on a production cluster. This is OSU and LAMMPS. This has been months of work and persistence. We got this working on an old kernel and hugely strict security policy. Experiments + more details coming soon!🥳
