Pink Day at MIS for October's Breast Cancer Awareness Month!

Mrs. Uva and Ms. Hentsch's 4th grade ELA classes participated in the Pet Shop Mix-up. Pets are on the loose and need to be reunited with their owners! Students saved the day by reading clues and drawing conclusions!

Ms. Hentsch's homeroom learned about the Think, Plan, Write, Revise writing process by showing off their creative Play-Doh creations. Way to go, Rockets!

A little late, but congratulations to Ms. Hentsch's and Mrs. Horvath's classes for winning the MIS kickball tournament!

4th graders have been presenting their original poems to their classmates this week! Not only did they each write a poem about something that inspires them, they also wrote an informational essay about the inspiration and poetic elements used. Way to go, Rockets!

4th grade students enjoyed a field trip to Big Run Wolf Ranch to kick-off their upcoming ELA module about animals and their defense mechanisms. Thank you to the Mokena PTA for their support in funding this experience for our students!
