Last call for OSM22 abstracts!!! Session: OB11 Beyond bulk measurements: applying micro- and nanotechnologies to understand marine microbial interactions and biogeochemical cycling Abstract submissions are due tomorrow at 11:59pm EDT aslo.org/osm2022/scient… Ocean Carbon & Biogeochemistry (OCB) #OSM22

Senior lab members Sam Schwartz and Julia Schumacher presented their current research at the Wake Forest EURECA Symposium today. Lots of interesting conversations! Guest appearances by Regina Joice Cordy and @_Josh_Currie #EURECA #WakeBiology

Sam is on his way to the GCURS event at Rice University to present his research "Predation impacts on Synechococcus aggregation". gcurs.rice.edu

Today at 4 pm ET, we will host Dr. Kay Bindle, who will give a talk in Winston 126 & online: "Contextualizing phytoplankton-virus arms races at sea: from subcellular controls to oceanographic scales". If you would like to attend, please email [email protected] for a Zoom link!

Please join us for OSM 2022 virtual workshop on applying marine microbial interactions across biogeochemical scales! Session # OB11 organized by Sheri Floge and Flora Vincent See you there! #microbes #OSM2022 Ocean Carbon & Biogeochemistry (OCB) aslo.org/osm2022/scient…

URECA junior, Leo Li, spent their summer working along Kate Thompson | she/her running Gulf Stream phytoplankton samples on the flow cytometer to investigate community composition at the Gulf Stream front. Congrats Leo on a job well done!

Undergraduate researcher, Elise Lipezker, presented her summer URECA (undergraduate research and creative activities) funded project on 09/27. Here pictured discussing her results with WFU president Dr. Susan R. Wente and WFU biology microscopy director Dr. Glen Marrs.
