Struggling to understand how BRING HER BACK and BLACK PHONE 2 fail to make the cut, while HEART EYES (WTF?!) and LAST SUMMER do? No. Just no. 🥴

I haven't seen it on many lists, but Sean Byrne's DANGEROUS ANIMALS (2025) was definitely a favourite of mine this year. I know the reviews are mixed, but I thought this well-paced piece of survival horror was great fun.

It's official. SEASONAL SCREAMS (2024) has just become my most successful book since THE FINAL SCREAM (2018). Thanks to ALL who continue to support my love letter to Holiday Horror - there would be no further books without you. Isn't it Valentine's Day next? ❤️

One of my favourite moments in John Carpenter's THE THING (1982) is the discovery of the frozen saucer. Some call this sequence "dated," but those gorgeous matte paintings evoke a creative charm and vibe that no AI or computer generated image could ever hope to.
