Learning another language isnโt just a skill - itโs an act of connection. It says, I see you. I care about your world. It opens doors to shared stories and true belonging. Itโs meeting others on their terms, in their words. It's about building bridges between people and cultures.

We are seeking a German teacher to join the ranks! Firrhill is an excellent school, with good (and rising!) uptake and attainment in languages. We teach French, German, Spanish and wee bit of Italian ๐ซ๐ท ๐ฉ๐ช ๐ช๐ธ ๐ฎ๐น. We have an amazing CL and supportive SLT. Closes 3rd June.
S3 LFLW Italian were learning about all the different pasta shapes. They even got a chance to make some using play-doh and find out their names in Italian ๐ฎ๐น ๐ (thank you to MissIrwin_ML ๐จ๐ต๐ช๐ธ๐ฎ๐น for the inspo!)

Another busy year in the Firrhill Languages Dept. At the end of term we sadly said goodbye to Mrs Readle after 15 years at FHS & Miss Babar as she moves on to pastures new. However, after summer we say hello to Miss McKirdy Heather McKirdy & Miss McFall! Have a relaxing break all!
