I think the reason Esperanto is so fun for me is that it minimizes the boring part of language learning (memorization) and relies more on the fun part of language learning (deduction and creative expression)

Just realized that my brother has the caulk-cock merger and it confused the crap out of me until I realized what he was talking about.

Just asked my dad “‘ch choppin’?” and realized for the first time that my dialect of English has reduced the phrase “What are you” to a single phoneme.

I was just chattimg to someone who didn’t know the word “mechanic”, so instead she said, “the car doctor”. THAT is how you learn languages!
