Out of all the, mostly unnecessary, sequels to 30 year old films that showed up in the last few years (ghostbusters, matrix, coming to America etc) #TopGunMaverick is the best by a country mile. Nostalgic yet original, stands on its own merits as great popcorn entertainment

Neither sleek, nor modern.

Appalling refereeing, some poor finishing and even worse defending. Not necessarily saying we deserved anything from today - a 3 goal deficit generally tells a story - but my god 4 of those goals feel very easily preventable, 2.5 of them simply by Diego not short circuiting.

For anyone, like me, who thought Ferris Bueller’s Day Off was the coolest film ever made as a kid, this is a fun read.

This is the kind of high quality programming I can get behind.
