Federal judge Camille Vélez-Rivé has sided with the union and is holding Rimas Sports in contempt. The player agency has to pay the MLBPA's relevant attorney fees.

Adam Silver said NBA teams who broadcast on Bally Sports RSNs agreed to "taking significantly lower fees this season" to make its deal with Diamond Sports work. Last month, Diamond promised it would operate through the 2024-25 NBA season regardless of what happens in bankruptcy.

The MLBPA says Rimas should pay $215,949 to cover attorney fees stemming from Rimas' defiance of a court order. Rimas meanwhile is asking the court to reconsider whether it indeed defied an order.
