Cody Hendricks has won election to the City of Bloomington council ward 6 (d’town) w/ close to 60% vote over Jordan Baker. He says Baker came to congratulate him. Hendricks, who served on the Pekin council previously, says starting the campaign last Aug. helped get a head start. #WGLTvote

As we await results for City of Bloomington council ward 4, Bloomington Election Commission expects final totals within next 30 minutes. #WGLTVote

.City of Bloomington numbers are final. John Wyatt Danenberger defeated Steven Nalefski with about 55% of the vote, a 157 vote margin. Danenberger commended Nalefski on a ‘congenial’ campaign and says he was a community asset and hopes they can be ‘thought partners’ on projects. #WGLTvote

Hundreds of Normal Community H.S. students took part in the national school walkout to call for stronger gun safety laws. Several students said they are especially concerned about going to college in other states were gun laws are more lax. Story soon at WGLT.org.
