I’m currently writing Volume 11 of Unintended Cultivator. Volume 5 comes out in March. So, naturally, my publisher is asking for a blurb for Volume 8. And I’m all like, where the hell in the chronology is volume 8?

I’m always a little baffled when people expect me to be interesting. I’m a guy who majored in philosophy and ended up writing fantasy novels. I’m clearly someone who has spent most of his time hiding inside and worshipping at an altar made of books.

The internet really is like black magic. I select random items (the incantation). I trade an ephemeral substance (money). And a minion appears with food.

I’m very torn between the urge to do all the things I planned to do today, and the competing urge to sit around, eat Doritos, and watch The Devil Is a Part-Timer! on #Crunchyroll for the next three hours. Why are there no adults around to make me do things?!

So, what does a modestly successful writer do on Valentine’s Day? I wrote a 1500-word chapter, ate French fries, ordered books on Amazon, and watched anime on Crunchyroll. You know, like a boss.

What do you mean my schedule is weird? I’m up by the crack of noon almost 50% of the time.

So, today, while I was doing very serious and important research about...things...and stuff...I stumbled across this. Behold! The Cat of Judgment! (cue dramatic music)

Ah, yes. The #Oscars are approaching. Who else will not be tuning in for that 30 minutes of entertainment packed into four short hours?
