I voted today to pass a motion to ask the Govt to reverse their cut of Winter Fuel Payments. Labour Cllrs (including 2 newly elected MP's) voted against. Never in my life would I think Labour would do such a callous thing.

Good news, more drain gully (inside the drains) cleaning planned in my County Council division. Hope Broxtowe Council will do their job and sweep the road surfaces very soon.

Regarding the Emergency Roadworks on the newly resurfaced Hall Drive, I have asked Highways (Via) to make absolutely sure that the road surface is returned to its new condition by The National Grid following the repair of the LV Cable.

After a number of years trying, and after being told it was not possible, The County Council is formally consulting with local residents about plans to improve road safety and bus stops at the Meadow Lane end of Long Lane. This includes bus stop markings and double yellow lines.
