Handel’s ever popular ‘Arrival of the Queen of Sheba’ is a short movement from his Oratorio Solomon. Taken from the Old Testament, she is identified as being a Queen of an ancient African Kingdom, possibly Ethiopia. (Painting Giovanni De Min)

We greatly enjoyed performing Handel's Messiah yesterday at Manchester Cathedral, a perfect start to Advent and the Christmas season. We had around 800 at the cathedral; one of our largest ever audiences. We can't wait to share more music with audiences later this season.
