My mum has just popped round to give me a little mesh bag that used to have garlic in. I think that counts as Peak My Mum. (Apparently it's for putting lemon pips in when you make jam. I make jam very, very rarely, and I don't use lemon pips. I also buy plenty of my own garlic)

I do love Thai names. Just come across someone whose name literally means 'Mr FullOfLuck VolunteeringForUnblemishedBusiness'.

Just been invited to alumni events at my old college: 1) Dinner at the Garrick Club 2) Golf day 3) May Ball And they wonder why more state school pupils (as I was) don't apply... I enjoyed my time there (although I wanted a change after 3 years), but it really is another world.

So proud of my old friend Martin Edwards' performance as Chris Lewis in #TheLongWalkBack at Greenwich Theatre tonight. I know nothing about cricket (er, there's a bat and a ball, right?), but that didn't matter. Fantastic play.
