Enjoyed a bottle of the sublime Kevin John Chardonnay from Vanya Cullen on Saturday evening with some great friends. Absolutely stunning as usual, one of the world’s great white wines from one of the world’s best producers. Proudly biodynamic. elementarywine.co.uk/products/culle… #finewine

Lovely wine from Enric Soler. Nun. Last wine I drunk with Nun in the name was during my student days when my palate was slightly less sophisticated…. #wine #finewine #winesofspain #winelovers

A couple of things that highlight our ethos. A stunning bottle of wine - Esprit de Tablas Rouge from certified biodynamic producer Tablas Creek and a t-shirt made from recycled organic material by Rapanui® . Plus some brilliant artwork in the background from James Ame

We’ve been sampling a few Chateauneuf-du-Papes lately (Rodney) and we haven’t been blown away by any of them - from good producers too. So on Sunday we drank an Aussie nod to Chateauneuf-du-Pape - Nine Popes from Charles Melton Wines - it was brilliant, as usual.

Always a pleasant surprise to find a lovely wine from one of Burgundy’s lesser known appellations. The Ladoix Bois de Mont from Domaine Chevalier was very impressive at the weekend. #finewine #burgundy #winelover

We do love a good Pinot Noir and this is delicious from Scar of the Sea - their Seven Leagues Pinot Noir. Lots of crunchy berry & cherry fruit & spice, crisp acidity, lovely depth, balance & length of flavour. My sort of wine. #finewine #pinotnoir

We’ve been massive fans of PeterAllanFinlayson since their very first vintage and their wines seem to get better each year. Awarded winemaker of the year by Tim Atkin their 2019 Clay Shales Chardonnay was drinking beautifully at the weekend. Top stuff!

I’ve been thinking ahead to what we might drink on Christmas Day and, given we’ve got some Rioja lovers visiting, this beauty might be a good idea. La Estrada from Telmo Rodriguez’s Bodega Lanzaga. #whattodrinkforchristmas #finewine #rioja

A lovely Bordeaux blend of Merlot, Cab Sauv, Cab Franc & Petit Verdot from Poggio al Tesoro packed full of velvety fruits of the forest, tobacco, eucalyptus & spice with fine grained tannins & bright acidity. 2014 drinking well now & over the next 3-5 years. Over delivers for sure

Back thinking about which wines to drink at Christmas & we always include a bottle of English fizz because there are some brilliant producers making stunning wines. And they’re right on our doorstep! We should be proud of and support local quality producers like Nyetimber
