when I am grading, I procrastinate with my dissertation, and when I am writing, I procrastinate with teaching prep. I am always productive, & always with the less pressing thing.

70% of chronic pain sufferers being women. 78% of autoimmune disease sufferers being women. 70% of those with Ehlers Danlos Syndromes being women 🤝 80% of chronic pain studies being conducted on men. Make this make sense.

The lack of public restrooms in America is such fucking bullshit, and I never fail to be angered all over again when I’m in a restaurant or store restroom that was clearly designed for minimum usability and maximum cruelty towards unhoused people.

There’s a warped notion beheld by terfs that feminism is a political position about liberating women from patriarchy, yet, they don’t realize that their gatekeeping on what constitutes a “woman” is then enacting patriarchal logics and thereby preventing liberation for all women

The fact the political establishment was so spooked by protests at Kavanaugh’s home that, within hours, they passed a bill to expand security for SCOTUS is actually further evidence that protesting at their homes is effective

America is not “deeply divided.” The overwhelming majority of people keep voting in favor of progressive policies only to be ignored & overruled by the white wealthy interests that run our govt & the base of rabid racists they empower to help uphold the oppressive status quo

This is obvious, I know. But I feel kind of deranged . We log on everyday and see evidence of mass human tragedy that is so brutal and so comprehensive that a man burned himself alive to protest it, which seems to be, actually, the only sane response to all of this.

Feels kind of silly to have to say this but damage to property is not violent. Shooting college students in the face with rubber bullets is extremely violent however. Hope that helps
