After our last tests of the board it was finally time to apply the bridge voltage. It was just great to see that the last months of work paid off. Here you can see a video with the first startup. Another video about high voltage tests will follow, so stay tuned! E&D @[email protected]

It was finally time to test the behaviour in high voltage regions. Even if it is not well audible in this video, the whole floor shook. It was also possible to go up to 150 V for a short time, but we quickly went down again to not heat up our transistors too much.E&D @[email protected]

Yesterday we had a meeting with our supervisors and professors(@ProfHennig & Ertugrul Sönmez ), where we could demonstrate our 1 kW Class D power amplifier for the first time. We are all happy and proud about what we could achieve in 12 months 😃👍 E&D @[email protected] #Microelectronic

Among further tests we are working out a data sheet for our 1 kw bass booster. On the last weekends during working sessions our mascot "Lutz" visited us and it was a lot of fun to play with him during our breaks.😃 #Microelectronics E&D @[email protected] @HS_Reutlingen

Error eradication in the last days: The ground got affected repeatedly. It was due to the correct ground connection in connection with the several respective connected test tools. Finally the big performance test can start. Stay tuned! #Microelectronics E&D @[email protected]

To protect our GaN transistors at the performance test we use 2 large cooling units. These should cool down the half bridge modules with the transistors so that we have no overheating symptoms. Stay tuned for results! #Powerelectronics #Microelectronics E&D @[email protected]

While we were fine tuning our integrator of the Class D amplifier for the final presentation yesterday, we noticed an interesting scientific phenomenon. While the filled bottle was repelled by the bass speaker, the unfilled bottle was actually pulled towards it. Funny isn't it?😀
