Getting ready for my airway management presentation at #emsworldexpo2018 #emsworldexpo18 and listening to John Krantz discuss Vanderbilts ECMO transport. I couldn't agree more!

Thanks #emsworldexpo2018, pleasure meeting so many great people and looking forward #WEMSA19! For anyone interested in an awesome, hands-on ECMO experience the famous #REANIMATE6 conference will now feature a special track for transport providers! reanimateconference.com ED ECMO Project

Completely agree, most of us deliver too much PPV (tidal volume, pressure, fio2, respiratory rate, etc.) when bagging and intubation makes it that much worse as there is never an air leak. If bagging why intubate? I wonder if NG placement would better protect from emesis?

sts.org/advocacy/chang… Big changes to ECMO funding as CMS slashes reimbursement for peripherally cannulated patients. High-volume hubs will likely manage even larger share of these meaning more transports and more need for providers skilled in ECMO management #REANIMATE6

Great post on a zero risk, high reward anti emetic strategy. Only problem is the eye rolls from nurses when doc is yelling for some alcohol prep pads, STAT!

Well another year without any Packers football in January...the only thing worse is Bears look for real...but change is finally coming and #wemsa2019 will be a pretty good consolation prize! Excited to hear some great talks and catch up with some very smart people! Wisconsin EMS Association

Really excited to hear about some of these other abstracts in the #NAEMSP2019 research poster session! Stop by at 5:30 if you're interested in seeing data from the Emory program on medications and interventions required en route during ECMO patient transports

This is a great algorithm! Add in some POCUS and you might be violating EMTALA by dropping off patients at some less progressive EDs...

Thanks americanair for getting us out of Chicago despite the fuel trucks being frozen at O'hare...Now the fun really begins! So excited (and star struck) to be presenting the ECMO transport section at #REANIMATE6, looking forward to some great discussions!
