Completely agree, most of us deliver too much PPV (tidal volume, pressure, fio2, respiratory rate, etc.) when bagging and intubation makes it that much worse as there is never an air leak. If bagging why intubate? I wonder if NG placement would better protect from emesis?

Great post on a zero risk, high reward anti emetic strategy. Only problem is the eye rolls from nurses when doc is yelling for some alcohol prep pads, STAT!

This is a great algorithm! Add in some POCUS and you might be violating EMTALA by dropping off patients at some less progressive EDs...
