Thought I was going to get away with no illness this half term and then…BAM

I try not to get involved in spats around what works best, what needs to be done or the ‘musts’ and ‘shoulds’ I sometimes read on here.The reason why is that I know what works best with my children in my class. One year to another this may change.I read,I learn from others.

Something I don’t think is discussed enough - how important it is for middle & senior leaders to remember what it’s like for a teacher ‘on the ground’ to teach full period days, often for 2-3 days back to back. Also, the accompanying markload, and inevitable cognitive fatigue.
