Never before has there been such a premium on good modular code practices. You hit takeoff if the complexity is within the range of modern coding agents. If there’s too much spaghetti you have to wait for GPT-5, but by then your agent-fueled competitors might have outpaced you.

Now that o3 can so thoroughly answer any question I might have, I feel like the limiting factor is my ability to think of a question to ask.

This is why I’m increasingly bullish on AI products that proactively delight me vs giving me a blank text box.

For all of the creativity in AI, for some reason we all decided the best way we could represent AI was the sparkle emoji ✨ or robots 🤖. I figured might as well just build the robots. When leaving OpenAI for Generalist this thought honestly crossed my mind.

A key belief of ours is that it’s the software, not the hardware, limiting robots right now. That said, hardware matters a lot. The fact our models have cross embodiment gives us flexibility here.
