The happiest helper today!

I traveled from Cairo to Aswan, witnessing the passage of time unfold before me—remnants and relics of great epochs clashing on the banks of the ancient Nile. Through the viewfinder of my camera, I saw a country that lives in the shadow of its own history.

I just found out I snagged a whole page feature for my story on the women’s fight night in Newcastle. How exciting! I start my internship with ABC tomorrow guys! Wish me luck 🍀

In the shallow waters of a small creek, I floated, peering through my lens at the small striped fish that were just as curious about me as I was about them. As I held the shutter down, they gathered, inching closer to my lens.

I just wrapped my first week interning for the ABC News. I’ve done a lot of radio script writing and photographed for a few stories. And at times I’ve felt out of place but that’s the exciting part of learning isn’t it? I am feeling extremely grateful for this week. ABC SPORT
