We are saddened to hear of the death of Surinamese filmmaker Pim de la Parra, who died 6 September aged 84. His anticolonial drama WAN PIPEL (1976), is a pioneering classic of Caribbean cinema. We were proud to present it last year Barbican Centre. Condolences to Pim’s family.
