Black Lives Matter LA is protesting the racism and classism of Los Angeles City Council members and are preparing to "demand that they all step down from their City Council seats," says Melina Abdullah (Melina Abdullah), co-founder of #BlackLivesMatter-LA.

Wild situation in South LA. Former landlord now deceased was a prominent Boston University alum, willed South LA apt building portfolio to BU which is now making moves to sell to highest bidder. Current tenants working with local community land trust to submit bid to buy buildings.

We are a proud #CooperationCrenshaw partner & collaborator in building a solidarity economy locally! Sun 2/25 join them at their Community Open House at @theumojacenter where they will present their proposal to the community, share all the progress Co-op Crenshaw & seek support.
