Happy Vaisakhi to all who are celebrating! ✨🌾 💡 Vaisakhi – also known as Baisakhi – is a significant date and festival on the Sikh calendar. The festival also marks the beginning of the spring harvesting season.

Students and staff at DSBN Academy stepped into the spotlight earlier this month with their original musical production: Robynn in the Hood! ✨👏 Thanks to the support from the community, the musical raised over $750 in donations towards the school’s breakfast program! 🙏💙

Today is the National Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls and Two-Spirit, also called Red Dress Day. Across the country, people hang red dresses to honour and recognize the missing and murdered Indigenous women, girls & 2-spirited people in Canada ❤️

On May 10, we recognize Bear Witness Day 🧸 to raise awareness for Jordan's Principle. This legal rule honours the memory of Jordan River Anderson, and recognizes the fundamental right of all Indigenous children to have equitable access to government services and supports.
