Had a fantastic first day at Nutrition Society Congress in Belfast and presented data from our stable isotope study showing that a polyphenol supplement can reduce iron absorption from an iron-rich meal by 70% and iron-fortified test drink by 35% in Thai adults with thalassaemia.

Brilliant overview of the evidence on the role of diet in gut health, covering fibre, FODMAPs, probiotics, fermented foods and emulsifiers by Kevin Whelan at the Nutrition Society conference.
