I have always thought that our artificial neurons used in neural networks did not do justice to actual neurons. This work suggests just how far off we are: tinyurl.com/2hp4jtup #AI #NeuralNetworks

Highly recommend reading/listening to "The Hospital" by @BrianRAlexander. It is a compelling overview of the deficiencies in American health(care) told via stories from a small hospital in Ohio. For my eye care friends, it even includes vitrectomies and a trip to U-M Kellogg Eye Center.

Interesting typo or mis-reading of someone's handwriting involved in this reason for visit tomorrow (clearly not from the glaucoma service 😉)

Enjoying my first @NEOS_Eyes meeting. Note meeting number which, even at ~5 meetings per year takes a LONG time. Also a great walk to the meeting venue through Public Garden.
