A reminder why NHS Practitioner Health was first set up - after the heartbreaking tragedy of a doctor who so feared stigma from colleagues she felt unable to seek mental health support - & killed herself & her baby daughter. Please don't defund this vital service, NHS England 🙏

Equally worrying that the distressing news is that there is no clear alternative route by which all healthcare staff can access timely, evidence-based care for #mentalhealth difficulties. Stopping a successful programme with no credible, defined, alternative is nonsensical.
