RhythmDumDum Since many of you have this doubt, I will post some pictures of my FA for reference in another post. But the gist is: Read FA, read your notes (revision or main), do PYQs, add those topics into your First Aid and never open your notes again.

History will remember how West Bengal Doctors fought united till the end , stood against all the odds , kept their chest straight against the water cannons , marched in rains , handled the pressure of a mob of thousands , faced mental and physical traumas but didn’t shake from

News of Next started in 2019. Now Next is in 2029. 2029 is election year. No next will happen. Then if the govt changes - even NEET might be scrapped (remember how TN is vehemently against it! ) Status quo status. Who suffers- the anxious students.

Aditya Gupta (@draditya2935) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Unpopular opinion. NEET PG isn’t anywhere near as tough it’s made out to be Amongst 2L , if you get 5K rank - you will get all branch in a decent area. All of us suffer from recency bias. NEET UG is far tougher. Can’t crack PG - still a doctor. Can’t crack UG - 12th pass.

The same reasons were given for Ragging during MBBS. I can now say with certainty, the people who ragged me in MBBS, haven’t helped me ever in my MBBS or later in life. Neither did consultants who harassed me in Post Grad. Learning can occur without Toxicity. Fact.

I’m a big proponent of First Aid but let’s not call it NCERT. If there is something which genuinely needs to be read like NCERT in MBBS - it’s Robbins. That book is just ❤️

One time, I pulled my resident aside after a tough day in regional anesthesia I asked the same first question I always ask when a trainee is struggling, “How are you doing? How are things at home?” The answer is usually, “I’m fine” This time the answer was “I have cancer”

Jimmy Turner, MD (@tpp_md) 's Twitter Profile Photo

It turns out this resident had a recent scare from a prior leukemia diagnosis. They were going back and forth to the cancer center to make appointments when their busy schedule would allow. It turns out that the clinical problems were stemming from a non-clinical stressor.

When we assume that clinical struggles are caused by a lack of studying, effort, or discipline… … we are forgetting that the physicians we teach are humans.  With real lives.  Real concerns.  And real problems. Just like you and me.

It is this time of year that the rates for depression start to creep up for our interns, in particular So please check in. Make sure they are okay when you work with them. Look them in the eye. Ask them how they are doing. Most of all show them you care. #MedTwitter

WabiSabi Debarshi Dey I have a huge conflict of interest here (my mother is Deputy General Manager in Oriental Insurance) But it’s better to have public health insurance than private. They are slower but way more ethical any private player. Best claim settlement ratio.

It takes a single downpour to expose how pathetic Indian infrastructure is. The best parts of Delhi (our ‘capital’) were all made by Britisher back in 30’s We haven’t made anything worthwhile in our cities since then.

The cost of book isn’t the problem. The bigger issue is that authors won’t receive a penny. Academic publishing is the biggest exploitation and doctors do it willingly to themselves. Everyone - be it corporates or publishers exploit the kindness and good nature of doctors.

Aditya Gupta (@draditya2935) 's Twitter Profile Photo

The books are costly not because the authors are Indians. But becuase the publisher is Springer. Every academician will salivate Springer Nature publishing their book at 15K rather than say Jaypee. The authors will receive 0 royalty but exalt themselves to congratulatory msgs

I honestly think that National Medical Commission should conduct NEETPG and NEET SS 6 monthly. Students can join but be on probation for 6 months. If they don't see a fit with both students and teachers, they can get certificate of 6 m SHO and leave and other students cam be filled with the vacancy

Today is National Physician Suicide Awareness Day. - More than 400 physicians die by suicide each year in the US. - Suicide is the leading cause of death among resident physicians. - Med students are three times more likely to die by suicide than their peers in other fields.
