You may have heard the shocking headline that 250,000 people die every year in the US due to misdiagnosis in the ER. You may be even more shocked to know that this statistic is extrapolated from the death of... just one man. in a Canadian ER. over a decade ago.

New locums recently introduced himself as “Dr. Smith” to me and as “Bob Smith” to my male colleague in the same breath. And yes I was wearing my white coat and my very obvious“DOCTOR” name badge 🙄

Now imagine having a job where you have to do CPR and try to resuscitate dying people all day and then they don’t make it and then you have to keep going into the next one anyway and everyone tells you diseases aren’t real and vaccines are a conspiracy. Yup. We go back to work.
