#SaferInternetDay2023 This week we discussed what online activities we enjoy. We played the “Can you help me?” board game and answered questions based on different scenarios and who we might ask for help. We then shared who we would ask for help when using our own devices 📱💻

We’ve enjoyed keeping connected this week as part of #childrensmentalhealthweek2023 We learnt about the important of connecting with others through play and talk, aswell as connecting with ourselves through mindfulness activities that make us feel good🤗🤗

📚 #WorldBookDay2023 📚 We have had so much fun celebrating World Book Day today! We dressed to impress and enjoyed taking part in the whole school cat walk and sharing our favourite books with our friends. A lovely day had by all🥰

We have enjoyed our ‘Awe and Wonder’ topic. As part of #BritishScienceWeek we have continued to explore questions from our ‘Wonder Wall’ specifically, “I wonder what else is in the sky?”

As we prepare for #Easter the children in Dosbarth Amroth have been exploring the concept of ‘New life’ in its many forms. This week, we have listened to the Easter story, made wooden crosses and designed our own Easter Gardens that included signs and symbols of new life.🐣🌱💐

This week, we have been preparing for the #Coronation of #KingCharles & learning all about life as a Royal! Today, walked to town see the Coronation yarn bombings🧶 It was exciting recap all of our learning from the week with all of the yarn bombs we found in Haverfordwest!👑

🌱 #WellyWednesday 🥬 Nursery pupils have been preparing soil and seeds by planting vegetable seeds. We will look after them and watch their growth. When we return to school in September as Reception pupils we look forward to digging up what we have grown! 🥦🌽🥔

🧮#NumeracyandMathematics🧮We have enjoyed learning how to subtract using playdough to 'squish' away numbers within 10. Our rhyme of the week was '10 Green Bottles' and we demonstrated our throwing skills to knock down bottles and write a subtraction sentence. Llawer o hwyl!

🫖#RolePlay ☕️ Over the last two weeks we have enjoyed developing our communication with others in our #CostaCoffee role play area. We have taken turns when exchanging conversations with one another to develop our oracy skills with one another.

#DCF This term we have been looking at different ways to collect data. The children have enjoyed using #jit5 to collect data in the form of a Pictogram to find out the favourite fruit options in our class for our snack area next week!🍏🍌🍓🍐🍊

🏅#SportsDay 🏃🏽‍♀️ We are all so proud of our Dosbarth Amroth superstars who all gave 100% in their Sports Day yesterday! The children loved every minute. Da iawn pawb👏🏼

#NumeracyandMathematics We have been learning to group and share quantities of numbers to help share out snacks evenly between our friends in groups of 2s, 3s and 4s. We had lots of discussions surrounding uneven numbers and what we could do to make things fair!

#Talk4Writing We have been innovating 'The Very Hungry Caterpillar.' The jobs of authors, illustrators & film makers have inspired our learning. Dosbarth Amroth are currently creating their own books & will make their own movies this week. Cyffrous iawn! Pie Corbett #literacy
