Nice weather… for ducks! Yesterday our volunteers were out dodging the showers and taking part in a team exercise around Kielder. The exercise gave team members a chance to work through a real time search and recovery of a casualty including providing medical care.

This weekend I was training with Mountain Rescue Search Dogs England , and the boss and I passed our ‘stage 2 search training’ test - next we move to the third and final stage, ‘operational training’. It was a tough weekend with the heat, but I did good 💪💪🐶🐾🐾 #success #dogtraining NNPMRT

It’s #nationalvolunteersweek A big thank you to all of our volunteers who give up huge amounts of their time help keep others safe!

We’re heartbroken to announce the sudden death of Bramble, our 6-year-old English Shepherd search dog. Bramble passed away from Leukemia just 10 weeks after saving a life during her first operational search on May 22, 2024.

In her memory, we’re launching a fundraising appeal to support future lifesaving search dogs, with funds going to Mountain Rescue Search Dogs England and the local rescue teams Bramble worked with. justgiving.com/page/search-do…

Thank you for all your support and encouragement during Bramble’s training journey. It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our search dog Bramble. She died from Leukemia, just 10 weeks after saving a life during her first operational callout.
