I got into a screaming match with a jerk oncologist who sold out by working for insurance companies to deny claims today. My whole office stopped and stared. But then they clapped after they realized why I was yelling. Premera Blue Cross is denying my patient’s Keytruda for her #TNBC

Understand FACILITY FEES. It's how hospitals (unfairly) generate 5x the physician professional fees just by doing things in the hospital (procedures, labs, imaging). So when figuring out what you're worth to them, make sure to include these exorbitant fees in your calculus.

Off to DC today to tell Congress I can’t think of a worse time to subject America’s physicians to an 8.4% Medicare cut — after doctors have helped our nation through almost 3 years of pandemic and are now dealing with soaring practice costs due to inflation. AMA

Sound Physicians owned by United Healthcare has $34 Million to pay back in stimulus funds they received from HHS/CMS, so there you go, UNH making $20 billion a year in profit had their hands out and the other UNH subsidiary, Optum Bank did the transactions, these are facts

...and here is a link for physicians to let your members of Congress know just how devastating it would be to let ANY of these proposed Medicare cuts go through physiciansgrassrootsnetwork.org

So let me get this right,,,, Doctors have gone above and beyond for the last three years stretched to their limits. Some taking pay cuts. Pushed physically and emotionally. Some lost their lives….. and now congress wants to cut reimbursement by 8.5%…..do I have that right?

Unfortunately consolidation in Medicine is nothing to celebrate 🎉 for patients. Worse care, longer wait times, depleted staffing likely awaits them…

🎶One of these things is not like the others (remember Sesame Street?). #Physicians face steep #Medicare cuts (despite record inflation) unless Congress acts to #StopTheFullCut! See AMA chart showing the disparity between physician payments & ALL other providers 👇

A physician I know just paid off their student loans, 14 years after starting medical school. Amount borrowed: 345,000 Cumulative interest paid: 247,296 Effective average interest rate: 5.12% That’s $115.90 per day for 14 years to fund their education.

Shared from FB: a CVS minute clinic was diagnosing every patient w/ “Flu C”. when a curious doctor called to question this, she learned she was diagnosing the control line “C” as a positive flu test. This is corporate America’s great plan to disrupt medicine. PPP - Putting Patients First

Our current health care system penalizes physicians for being more efficient and improving patient outcomes … explains why we are where we are

I strongly advise friends around the world NOT to do what the US has done, putting for-profit corporations in charge of health care. It has been a total failure.
