From day 1 we've looked to expand the use cases on Arweave and ended up onboarding >200 projects Today we unveil support for IPFS CIDs on Irys, allowing you to use both Arweave and IPFS together Here's to the next 10x 🍻

Interesting activity in Arweave mining. ⛏ A "Double Signing Proof" is seen for the first time in block arweave.net/block/height/1…. This proof identifies a mining address that submitted multiple blocks with the same solution. As a result the offending miner's pending block

This policy, intended to close off exits, inadvertently became a self-selection filter for a generation of entrepreneurial spirits. Give me freedom and $50? I'll take those odds!

Today is a big day! 🥳 After years of following Irys from the sidelines, I've decided to jump in. I'm thrilled to announce that I've accepted the role of "Head of Protocol" Irys 👁️. Check out the announcement post (and video!) here. x.com/josh_benaron/s…

A common challenge for datachains with permanent data is dealing with missing data and determining whether its absence is due to user error or miner failure. As a result, permanent datasets often contain unexplained gaps in their ledgers where data should be but isn't. Miners

They’re just Datachains. Differentiating between DSNs and Datachains is already a fairly nuanced distinction for the layperson. Especially as both Arweave and Filecoin integrate compute layers, they start to look less and less like SANs.

There’s a subtlety here. Every blockchain starts out centralized. 22k-25k of the first 36k Bitcoin blocks are believed to have been mined by Satoshi. So centralization is not a one-way street, it does take time and intention to coax decentralization into existence though.
