Grateful to have an audience with His Majesty King Charles III this afternoon. Tomorrow, His Majesty will deliver the Speech from the Throne, nearly 70 years after Canada’s Sovereign first opened Parliament. It is an historic honour that matches the weight of our times.

I see this and am so grateful for the sacrifice of these young men. I can't imagine my 18 and 21 year old sons having to do this. The invasion of Europe and the resulting carnage was horrific.....and absolutely necessary to rid the world of the suicidal Nazi death cult.

While recuperating from surgery, I've been doing a pile of reading. Mostly scripts...and also a few shorter novels. None more powerful than this. Thanks John Boyne Books for the deeply moving story.

Finding a great read is one of the spin-off benefits of taking time to recover from surgery. Thank you Scott Galloway for this. I will now give it to my sons and encourage them to read it as well.
