Now learning 🇨🇦Bianca Borgella is withdrawing from Paralympic competition after suffering a leg injury during her 100m final. This also means Canada's Universal 4x100m relay team is withdrawing from the Paralympics because they do not have a backup runner to take Bianca's place.

USA's women's sitting volleyball team is going back to the Paralympic gold medal game. They just defeated Brazil in four sets. Brazil will play for bronze on Saturday afternoon. Now it's time for Canada vs China. Winner to meet USA. Loser to meet Brazil.

I just met Susan here at North Paris Arena ahead of the Canadian women's sitting volleyball game. She's from Calgary and told her husband she wanted to go support Canada at the Paralympics. So here they are in Paris. Always wonderful to meet great fans like you along my journey

The Canadian women’s sitting volleyball semifinal be China is delayed. Nothing to be concerned about though. It’s because this USA vs Brazil semifinal ran a little late. Match should start around 8:30pm local — 2:30pm ET back home.

Yesterday in Paris I had the great privilege of spending some time with 🇨🇦 para cyclist Kate O’Brien, her wife, baby boy and parents. Kate won Canada’s first medal at these Games. And they all opened up about this journey. Beautiful stuff, really.

This Chinese women's sitting volleyball team is just so good. They take the first set over Canada 25-16. They've only dropped one set all Paralympics. Time for the Canadians to regroup for the second set.

Canada showing some first in the second set of this semifinal against China. They've tied it 9-9 and are hanging in there right now. China won the first set 25-16 in this women's sitting volleyball semifinal.

Devin Heroux (@devin_heroux) 's Twitter Profile Photo

That was a much better set from the Canadians. China takes it 25-22. But this Canadian sitting volleyball team isn't going down without a fight. Third set from North Paris Arena coming up -- the men's basketball semifinal starts soon Canada vs USA.

This is INTENSE Spectacular skill. Riveting rallies. Tremendous talent. The Canadians won’t back down. It’s 16-15 China in the third set.

Devin Heroux (@devin_heroux) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Not to be for the Canadians. China just too much on this night in Paris. It’s a straight-set victory over Canada. The Canadians will play for sitting volleyball bronze vs Brazil on Saturday afternoon here.

Confirming that Erin Routliffe, sister of Tess Routliffe, was indeed at La Defense Arena tonight to watch Tess swim to bronze Erin took an overnight flight to Paris, fresh off her quarterfinal run at the US Open in women's doubles. So great they got this moment together.

I have once again used my metro card to try and get into my hotel room. Only after several failed attempts to get in and a trip to the front desk to reprogram the card, I’m now back in my hotel room. Right on track at this point of the Paralympics. Three days left.

As we wrap up Day 8 a note about my colleague, co-host, friend and two-time Olympic diving medalist. Rosie Filion is a joy to work with. She’s prepared. Knowledgeable. And has made me laugh every day of the Paralympics. I am so grateful for you, Rosie. Bonne nuit from Paris.
