We welcomed a group of students from Institute of Agriculture and Natural Resources today. This irrigation systems management class learned about Nebraska's 23 NRDs & our state's unique system of water governance. We love having the opportunity to talk about the good work NRDs are doing in the state!

In the UNL #IrrigationFieldCourse, students assessed center pivot performance at Univ of NE ENREEC and learned about new irrigation technology for food production and water conservation.

Our #IrrigationFieldCourse is wrapping up with drones, streamflow measurement, high tunnels for vegetable production, and surface irrigation. Thanks to Aaron Mittelstet, Dean Eisenhauer, Saleh Taghvaeian, @PeterMcCornick, Mark Stone, Darren Siekman and many others who helped!

The Nebraska section of ASABE.org is visiting the CSS Farms, a major potato producer in the country. It’s cool learning about how each 🥔 needs to be handled very delicately throughout a long process of harvesting, transporting, storing, & washing to prevent bruising.
