This is insane. Hirokazu Koreeda is one of my all time favourite directors. I don't think it NEEDS another adaptation, but if someone were to do it and give it a truly unique spin and character then they have chosen the perfect director for the job. I'm locked in

Finally watched The Colors Within, I think is the best cinematography I've seen in the decade (and I do mean it as light composition) which is weird considering it is animation. Loved the three protags and the music. Tho I wanted more intimate scenes and less religious school.

Hot take and might be too soon to say, but with last week’s episode of Pluribus I think this might be Vince Gilligan best show so far. I just love an episode completely centered on characters being alone, letting the actors flex.

Ginpachi sensei is an odd one because I've loved watching this characters again doing whatever, while all the same I hate how it refuses to be a whole new context for old characters in a new story and falls often in the uncanny valley between both series

I'm going to take what OP said here and QRT because I agree. The new Ranma 1/2 anime is GOOD and is doing an incredible job, nothing to envy about the first anime. And listen, I grew up watching the first Ranma 1/2, of course I'm a fond of it BUT (+)

This removed any doubts I had right here (I love Kore Eda and I’ll always support him but with live action adaptations I’m always super cynical) He is so genuine and I love the love it has for it and can’t wait to see what new stuff his vision gives to Look Back as a story

Yeah, with S1 over I can confidently say Pluribus have given me my favorite season of television in what feels like a long time. The way it frames manipulation strategies in an otherwise pacifist society is so amazing and Carol is honestly such an interesting character to watch.

Nice to see Drunken Master 1978 getting referenced in Ranma 2025 on Netflix. The movie had a huge influence on martial arts cinema and fighting games. #ranma #らんまアニメ

I don't see that much talking about Ranma 1/2 action sequences, however one thing is sure: Artist Unknown always delivers quality.

Honestly this season of Ranma 1/2 remake is my anime of the year, I love how kinetic the animation is and how finally the post season 1 content is getting an adaptation that gets the characters.
