No peace. She’s trying (and failing) to make waffles.

Thank the Saints she managed to grab a ( *perfect ) waffle before he forcibly removed her from her work of art. “No, you big oaf, I’m feeding us! This is all perfectly normal when making waffles.”

“Please, kitchens are supposed to be a little bit smokey! ... I think.” She managed between mouthfuls, before holding the last piece of the waffle out to him. She had intended to feed them both, after all. “It’s good, I swear it.”

⠀ Waffle-theft should be considered an executional offence. ⠀

“Oh..” She frowned, lifting herself up to settle on counter behind them both. Eyeing up Matthias and the less than salvageable waffles on the side. “Well, in my defence, I was always chased away from the kitchens at the little palace. . .”

“Because I am determined to conquer it.” And, one day, she wants to wake Matthias up to his favourite breakfast. She’ll get there.

“... Fine.” She agreed after a moment, pulling her shawl closer to her chest. Saints, it was cold. “I suppose we do still need a roof over our heads while we’re mastering the kitchen.”
