Our award category for today is Best Visuals, which goes to... Vinnie Glynn-Steed and Shane Tannian! Their work, The Promise of Bad, is truly stunning. Check it out Friday, or right now in our bio!

Our paid event today, a poetry reading with Eva Griffin, Jess McKinney, and Mícheál McCann, starts in only an hour! Remember, if you've paid for a ticket a zoom link will be emailed to you. Hope to see you there!

Our next award category is Best Strict Verse! Strict Verse is a very technical thing to get right, so it's with great pleasure that our winner is... Vox Populi ! Watch his poem Sparrows in our linktree, and come along Friday!

Our Wednesday event is going to be a great one! Our good friend @yt_melomaniac, Sammy Copley, will be performing a concert for us at 1pm! You can donate to Fighting Words through our linktree to grab a ticket.

This evening, at 6:30pm, we're discussing a multitude of poets that the DCU Poetry Society has featured throughout the year. Of course this event will be free, so the link will be available to all through our linktree!

Our penultimate award category is Best Free Verse. This was a VERY steep competition, but we have managed to pick a winner... Sinéad O'Reilly!! Check out her poem The Flautist this Friday, or right now in our Linktree!

We're having a lighthearted debate at 1pm today! We'll be competing to write the best poem to back up your argument on some silly questions! There will be prizes for the winner though, so don't think we won't be competitive! It's free to come along, the link is in our linktree.

Our final award category is Best Single Line, and the winner is... Sinéad Mooney!! Isn't it so lovely? All the winners will be celebrated after Karl's workshop today, so please join us!

Emails for Savannah Brown's 2pm reading today have been sent out! It's still not too late to get a ticket if you were on the fence!

Our final event is starting at 4pm! Karl Parkinson is giving an editing workshop, followed by our CLOSING CEREMONY!! It's all free of course, and we'll be celebrating all of our competition winners, so please come along for our last event of the year!
