Extreme heat can be dangerous, especially for residents experiencing homelessness. If you see someone in need of a place to cool off, call 311 for free transportation to a cooling center in the District. Let's look out for each other, stay safe, and stay cool, DC.

.NWS Baltimore-Washington has issued a Flash Flood Warning for the District of Columbia until 8:45PM. At 5:44 PM, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain will move across DC area. Expected rainfall rates of 1 to 2 inches in 20 minutes are anticipated.
