Maran Gas Roxana, a Q-MAX LNG gas carrier outbound from LNG Canada’s Kitimat facility. Incredible views along BC’s north coast. Even in ballast, we still had 2 pilots and the Haisea Kermode as an escort all 160 miles to the Triple Island Offshore Pilot Boarding Station.

These photos were taken just this past week at a Sobeys store. Canada doesn’t grow Navel oranges — and certainly not California natural walnuts. Yet here we are. Many readers have sent me similar photos lately. The “maplewashing” continues — clear misrepresentation of origin

A vehicle levy would take more money out of the pockets of British Columbians who are already struggling to pay the bills, yet David Eby confirmed recently that the option is on the table to fund TransLink. We can't afford another day of this incompetent NDP government.

🐾🇨🇦 Farewell to Coal, Parliament’s beloved cat. He supervised democracy, napped on the nation’s business, and kept all parties humble (and slightly furry). Rest well, Coal. May your eternal sunbeam never fade. 🖤

One Central Saanich councillor is urging public officials to leave Big Tech platforms and embrace the Fediverse—decentralized networks like Mastodon and Lemmy. Social media should protect privacy, not exploit it. Time to reclaim digital sovereignty.🇨🇦 🔗 peninsulanewsreview.com/local-news/cen…

On this #caturday, our nation mourns a great cat. There was a kindness in his eyes, a quiet dignity in his daily rounds, and a wisdom earned from generations of feline service on Parliament Hill. It was the leadership of Coal that gave hope to millions even in trying times.

On X, Masaki Nobushiro posts a recurring (and useful) drawing about how people wrongly think a 1m tsunami is a cresting wave when it's actually a wall of water filled with dangerous and deadly debris that's strong enough to sweep up a car.
