F1 season is getting really good. Lando has got his first win. Charles has won Monaco. Red bull has been pulled back in by the field. One can only hope Lewis gets a final win for Merc.

Development land values finally seem to have returned to norms. Asking prices aligned with current development rates and developer profit being allowed for. Wild 4 years.

It’s amazing how we as designers can justify the compromises. Flipping a plot away from the road, so no longer a south facing garden. Gymnastic plot layouts to fully utilise a boundary. Enormous hard standings because of turning circles. Untrained eyes see through it all.

Thoroughly enjoyed my first 24h Le Mans this week where I actually tried to keep up with what was happening. It’s very different to an F1 Grand Prix, where the tiniest of errors gets punished, but a different beast all together. A thrilling fight to the end made it great.

Just heard Chris Williamson talking about Ricky Road on one of his episodes and all the great memories came flooding back. Those amazing halls are no longer there sadly, replaced with modern student digs with en-suite rooms you see everywhere now.
