📢 Big news on the Aylesham site in #RyeLane. 👎 This is an unwelcome move by the developer to circumvent the local planning process, when Southwark was due to decide on it next month. 🗣️ I will continue to speak against the scheme until it meets our essential planning rules.

Great to be out with S. Bermondsey Labour talking to local residents this afternoon. Anti-social behaviour in particular was a top concern on the #labourdoorstep. 🌹

Lots done, and lots, lots, lots more to do. But the GLA numbers on social rent homes completed and started last year speak for themselves. Southwark Labour is building houses for our community. 🏡

It’s been a long time coming, but we’ve been working hard to replace the broken lamppost on #LyndhurstWay and now, this week, it’s done. ✅ The pavement is now clear and accessible again! We’re getting things done in #RyeLane. 🔧

Back at Peckham Levels for two meetings this evening: - Meeting the Finding Rhythms team - who Rye Lane’s councillors granted funding to help tackle reoffending through music; - An Aylesham Community Action meeting - where I updated residents with the latest on the Aylesham planning process.

Glorious sunshine at Frank's Cafe at Bold Tendencies in the heart of #RyeLane this evening. 🌅 Good to chat to some of the team members this evening, as the venue returns for the summer season.

Great to be out supporting St Giles Labour this morning, just over the border with Rye Lane. 🌹 Residents were concerned about bins, dog fouling, and of course the Aylesham development - that I oppose - in Rye Lane ward.

🚨 Big changes are coming to #RyeLane! 🚨 Southwark Council has found a contractor to start the demolition of the arcade outside Peckham Rye Station and build Peckham Rye Station Square - an accessible public space for all!
